An old-fashioned, family-run restaurant with excellent cuisine. It's the perfect antidote to all that fish (there's none on the menu): come instead for the likes of mind-blowing paccheri Amici Miei (pasta with an aubergine and gorgonzola sauce), excellent chargrilled meat (the lamb and the steak in Barolo wine with radicchio are particularly tasty), vegetables and cheeses. Delicious home-made dolci include crema pasticciera served with brandied chestnuts, and chocolate mousse. The wine list is extremely impressive, as well as good value.
