Say it isn’t so: After almost five years on Hudson Street, 92YTribeca, one of our favorite venues for families, is closing up shop.

92Y Tribeca
Sad news: 92YTribeca, which we recently named the best kids' concert venue in New York City, will be closing this summer. Opened in 2008, the space has hosted tons of family events over the years, including the popular Bring Your Own Kid concerts (everyone from Astrograss to the Suzi Shelton Band has performed) to January's Big Family Quiz Thing. While the 92YTribeca's twitter page assures New Yorkers that the 92Y on the Upper East Side will still bring them lots of great programming, there's no word yet on whether or not the BYOK series will move uptown. We'll keep you posted as soon as we hear.
