Even as temperatures drop and daylight dwindles, you’ll have no problem filling your kid’s calendar this month. Explore the renovated Queens Museum, check out a new space show at AMNH, or groove to jazz at BAM. Lively kids’ performances—from the likes of the New Vic, Making Books Sing and Big Apple Circus—also brighten the gray days of late-autumn.

RECOMMENDED: Things to do in New York City this fall with kids

'Tis the season for holiday celebrations as well (yes, already!). Radio City’s Christmas Spectacular debuts, the American Museum of Natural History and Met light their trees, and the Holiday Train Show opens at the New York Botanical Garden. Plus, there’s the rare occurrence of Thanksgivukkah, which means the end of the month brings both Turkey Day traditions (think: Macy’s parade and preceding balloon inflation spectacle) as well as Hanukkah celebrations (a David Grover concert and Hanukkah-themed crafts at the Museum of Jewish Heritage). Tell us: What are your family’s top picks for November?
