Family Festival at the Cloisters: In Search of the Unicorn

Kids and their families headed to the Cloisters over the Memorial Day weekend for this unicorn-themed fest celebrating the new exhibit "Search for the Unicorn" and the 75th anniversary of the Cloisters' founding. Mary Pope Osborne read from her book Blizzard of the Blue Moon, about a boy and a girl who travel through time with a unicorn and land in the Cloisters, on Saturday. On Saturday and Sunday, kids had the chance to work on mythical art projects, take exhibition tours and go on a self-guided art scavenger hunt through the museum and gardens. Click through our slide show for a peek at the fun, then plan a trip to northern Manhattan to look for unicorns yourselves.
