Hanukkah for kids

Hanukkah lighting at the 92nd Street Y

It's that time of year. Hanukkah and all of its traditions—spinning dreidels, lighting the menorah and frying latkes—has arrived. In addition to your family's own festivities, the city is full of fun-filled ways to celebrate Hanukkah for kids. Children can nibble on chocolate gelt at the 92nd Street Y, build a menorah out of found objects at the Jewish Museum and even watch a musical re-imagining of the ancient story of Hanukkah at the Merkin Concert Hall. No matter how your family celebrates, have a happy Hanukkah.
