New Victory Theater
During opening weekend of fiddle spectacular Black Violin, families are encouraged to bring blankets, flashlights and cleaning supplies, which the theater will donate to local aid organizations; meanwhile, in the lower lobby, little ones can craft holiday cards bearing messages of cheer for hurricane victims. Sat Nov 10 at 2, 7pm; Sun Nov 11 at noon, 5pm. New Victory Theater. $14–$38. Ages 6 and up.

Greencycle Swap
Greenpoint's exchange is collecting donations of canned food, batteries, flashlights, household items and toiletries (including baby supplies). Sun Nov 11 1–4pm. Greenpoint Shul, 108 Noble St between Franklin and Lorimer Sts, Greenpoint, Brooklyn (917-428-4863, townsquareinc.com). Free. All ages.

BookMark Shoppe
BookMark Shoppe asks families who attend Todd Parr's reading of The Thankful Book to bring in non-perishable items to be donated to neighborhoods most affected by Hurricane Sandy. Tue Nov 13 at 4pm. BookMark Shoppe. Free. All ages.

TADA! Youth Theater
At their performance of Sneak Peek: A Musical Revue, the troupe will be collecting new and gently used school supplies for the students of P.S. 41 on Staten Island who were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Fri Nov 16 at 7pm; Sat Nov 17 at 2, 5pm; Sun Nov 18 at 3pm. TADA! Theater. $35, children $25. All ages.

Bubbles Playhouse
The Staten Island kids' party place is accepting donations of canned and non-perishable food for local shelters. 2102 Clove Rd at Hillcrest Terr, Staten Island (718-447-7779, bubblesplayhouse.com).

Park Slope Armory
Donate clean pillows, bedding, clothing, packaged toiletries, books and games to this special medical needs shelter housing displaced residents from the Rockaways and other heavily affected areas. 361 15th St between Seventh and Eighth Aves, Park Slope, Brooklyn (212-912-2580, ymcanyc.org/parkslopearmory).
