From a matzo factory tour with the Mama Doni Band to a play in which Moses is reimagined as an angsty teen, the city is bursting with ways to celebrate Passover with kids in 2013. (This year, the holiday begins on the evening of Monday, March 25, and ends on Tuesday, April 2 at sundown—it coincides with the public school's spring break.) Families can learn how to make noodle kugel at one of Taste Buds' cooking classes, create matzo Pop Art at the Jewish Museum and even listen to a story about a young boy's seder dinner with a Yankee soldier during the Civil War, at the DiMenna Children's History Museum. Now matter how your family decides to celebrate Passover with kids, we hope you have a happy holiday.
