What could possibly be better than an art star presenting his latest children's book in person? How about if he brings along one of the characters—in this case, a dog—that inspired the work? Art photographer William Wegman is best known for his humorous but also touching works featuring his adorable gray Weimaraners, and on Sunday, October 6, one of them accompanied the author as he introduced families to his new book, Flo & Wendell. The tale, about the special but sometimes fraught bond between siblings, features the expressive heads of Wegman's canine pals set atop painted (human-esque) bodies. Click through our slide show to check out the book, the artist, his dog and their fans at Books of Wonder.
