Make the most of your city

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...

caped...Just your little one out to save the world. We know you think your babe is a superhero already (and chances are, they think you are one too). But if your kids want to look the part, they're in luck. Today at Tribeca Cinemas, luxury baby boutique Babesta hosts a unique event in conjuction with the Met's new exhibit "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy," which revolves around the concept of transformation and metamorphosis through fabric and imagination, just like a superhero.

Kids can create their own capes using a variety of materials from feathers to paint, or they can head over to the Fashion Fantasy Game station to create a virtual crime-fighting ensemble. Once they've channeled their inner Coco Chanel, photographer Christopher Auger-Dominguez snaps shots of the tikes dressed to the nines and ready to fight crime.

While your kids prepare to take on the bad guys, you can sip on a glass of wine or two, and snacks are available when little ones get hungry, After all, saving the world is no easy task.

There's only 100 spots, so reserve your cape now.

Caped Crusaders, 4-6pm, Lofts at Tribeca Cinemas, 54 Varick at Laight St. Subway: A, C, E, 1 to Canal St. $25.
