What would the Internet be without cats? Probably a lot less entertaining, according to this group exhibition devoted to our feline friends. However, the show, curated by Rhonda Lieberman, goes well beyond the realm of Web-ready kitties, exploring the power of pussy through works by some 90 artists. The highlight is surely the Cats-in-Residence Program, in which ten "purr-formance" artists (Meowrina Abramovic, Jeff Maine Coons, Frida Kahlico and Alex Katz among them) lounge around the gallery. On loan from the East Village's Social Tees Animal Rescue, they're available for adoption. All in all, a fancy feast for the eyes and heart.
