Frigid New York Festival 2015; Various locations, 5pm. $10–$16.
Some 30 erotic shows are participating in this "open and uncensored" festival, so yeah, the title is kind of misleading.

Haunting Renditions Live; Littlefield, Gowanus, 8:30pm. $8.
Eliot Glazer transforms light, bubblegum pop hits into exaggerated orchestral affairs, because cabaret Katy Perry hits are hilarious.

Dirty Epic and Aphotic Present Anthology; Location TBA, 10pm. $TBA, advance $20.
D.E.'s latest bicoastal venture, “Andrew S Winter 2015,” spans two months, four cities and five epic parties, but obviously the best stop in this journey is NYC.

NYC Beer Week 2015; Various locations, 12pm. $40–$75.
Kick the week off with the Opening Day Bash, and taste unlimited samples from 40 of New York’s most celebrated breweries, including Bronx Brewery, Brooklyn Brewery and Sixpoint Brewery.

Q Tip (DJ Set); Brooklyn Bowl, Williamsburg, 11:30pm. $12, advance $10.
A Tribe Called Quest's original mans the decks for a special late-night set of funk, soul, hip-hop and classics.

In the place where I make no mistakesMellow Pages Library & Reading Room, Bushwick, 7:30pm. Free.
Be there for readings with Morgan Parker, Cynthia Arrieu-King, Mathias Svalina and Natalie Eilbert—all little-known authors who surely deserve the spotlight.

Zeitgeist Presents French Express: Moon Boots + Jonas Rathsman + Perseus + Isaac TichauerVerboten, Williamsburg, 11pm. $25-$30.
The label French Express—home to sunshine-kissed, disco-tinged, impossibly groovy vibes—returns to provide the tunes under Brooklyn's finest disco ball with Chicago producer Moon Boots, Sweden's Jonas Rathsman, Australia's Isaac Tichauer and label founder Perseus.

Ted Greenberg's the Complete Performance; Huron Club, Soho, 6pm. $20.
Emmy-winning former Late Show writer Ted Greenberg performs an hour of boisterous interactive stand-up that ends with one audience member being whisked home in a taxi by Greenberg, who is a licensed NYC cabdriver.

The Big Oscars Quiz Thing; Le Poisson Rouge, Greenwich Village, 5:30pm. $15, advance $10.
Cinephiles flock to this yearly quizathon all about Academy Award-nominated movies, all the way from the event's from inception to the current nominees. Watch all the red-carpet and awards-show action while munching on goodies, with chances for extra prizes from impromptu trivia during commercials.

16th Annual Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade & Festival; Begins at Canal St at Mott St, Manhattan, 1pm. Free.
Ring in the Year of the Sheep at the 16th Annual Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade & Festival. You can expect crowds, food vendors, traditional lion and dragon dances, costumes, floats and multicolored confetti that you’ll be picking from your hair days later.

Kyle Kinane; Bowery Ballroom, Lower East Side, 7pm. $22.
He may look and sound like that grisly regular at the bar, but his ability to turn nearly unnoticeable events into (often drug-induced) reflections on humankind is not to be missed.

Free Academy Awards Screening Party; Littlefield, Gowanus, 6pm. Free.
Walk the real red carpet (complete with photo booth and Joan Rivers–esque interviewer), indulge in some gratuitous popcorn or pay-by-the-slice pie, and even cast a ballot—who do those Academy voters think they are anyhow? Select your faves while you sip on movie-themed drinks.
