Last night, the best burgers in New York City gathered to feed the hungry masses at Pier 26 at the 2017 Time Out New York’s Battle of the Burger. Twenty-five–hundred people attended our sold-out event to taste test their way through 20 meaty creations and a bottomless supply of ice-cold Budweiser, and they didn’t let any sort of limited stomach size stand in their way.
Everyone cast their all-powerful vote for the best burger in the land—and this year’s People’s Choice winner is The Cannibal Liquor House!
Their Stacked Burger, piled with Cabot cheddar, aioli, house-cured pickles and pickled chilies, was just what this crowd needed.
Our guest judges (the burgeratti) also dug into each burger in a blind taste test, and the winner of the Judge’s Choice Award went to 5 Napkin Burger's “3 Napkin Burger,” topped with American Cheese, tomato, lettuce, pickles and burger sauce. Psst, you’re drooling.
While scouring the best patties, attendees also munched on chips dipped into Cholula hot sauce and wings from Hooters, got some sweet cones (with sprinkles on top) from Mister Softee and played games like corn hole and giant Connect Four—whenever they could stand to put the food down for a moment. It was pretty much the best night ever!
