Who needs to see the night’s stars when trippy light displays are brought to the city’s streets, or, more specifically, Brooklyn’s Grove Alley? Tonight Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and Seek Events are hosting “Glow,” a party in the 250-foot alley with dancing, food and drinks, where the dark of the evening gives way to roving light performance artists and a cosmic light show by Brooklyn-based digital artist Taezoo Park, who frequently uses television screens and monitors in his art projects.

Become part of the scene and let glow-paint body artist Jane Meng use your face and body as a canvass for sparkling, glittery looks, or deck yourself in white for fun in the UV black light section. All the while you’ll be grooving to beats by New York DJs Chela and Jubilee, while chowing down grub and kicking back beers from from Brooklyn Brewery. The event starts at 5pm and tickets are free, but it’s suggested that you RSVP here.
