The forecast is calling for another beautiful weekend, so why not celebrate the warmer weather by returning to the Hudson?

There are a ton of exciting things to do in May, but if a day on the water is all your after, join Hudson River Community Sailing at Pier 66 this Saturday for food, music, workshops, sailing and plenty of fun for the whole family.

Free public sails, led by volunteers, begin at 9:30am until 10:45am followed by another session from 11am to 12:15pm. You can watch HSCR students launch the wooden boats they’ve been building all winter-long from 12:30pm to 3pm during the “Blessing of the Boats” ceremony. But if you prefer to hit the water in the afternoon, public sails will continue at 1:30pm to 2:45pm and 3pm to 4:15pm.

Chill on land for some Pier activities such as learning how to tie knots and playing a game of mechanical-advantage tug-of-war. The best part? Everything is free! We heard the website is currently experiencing some technical difficulties, but give the office a call (212-924-1920) if you want to sign up for the festivities.
