In addition to being a ping-pong enthusiast, an activist and an Oscar winner, this week, Susan Sarandon is also the Editor-in-Chief of Time Out New York. Susan took the reins for our new issue, and did not take the responsibility lightly, throwing herself into every facet of the editorial process. She decided which content our editors would include in each section, and even conducted her own interview with pal Richard Gere. She also used her editorial powers to devote attention to NYC’s hidden homeless population. Oh, and she let our own Editor-in-Chief interview her.

Wondering what content Susan picked to include in the magazine this week? First, a guide to indulging your inner child around the city, including spots to roller skate, play Skee-Ball and ride roller coasters. Plus, a roundup of the best summer beers to drink before fall ales roll into town, a guide to the last Saturday of Summer Streets, and a concert smackdown between the upcoming Drake/Lil Wayne and Rihanna/Eminem shows.

So if you thought Susan Sarandon was nothing more than a beautiful, famous, immensely talented actress, allow our new issue to show you what else she can do.
