Founded in 1999 by a group of authors including Junot Díaz, the VONA/Voices workshop brings often-marginalized writers of color into focus. Cofounder Elmaz Abinader reads from her new poetry collection alongside two VONA/Voices anthology contributors, Vanessa Martir and Marissa Johnson-Valenzuela.
