Alan Gilbert Conducts Carl Nielsen

In recent years, the New York Philharmonic and its chief conductor have played (and recorded) the first four symphonies by the early-20th-century Danish composer. The orchestra pushes into the final stretch of this multi-season project, by playing Nielsen's fifth and sixth symphonies (as well as his Maskarade overture).
