Composer-vocalist Gabrielle Herbst, fellow singers and new-music group Contemporaneous unveil a full-length version of a work Herbst initially developed as a ten-minute short for Experiments in Opera. Inspired by French feminist Hélène Cixous’s diaristic Dream I Tell You, the opera is described as an ethereal, erotic contemplation of birth, death and what comes in between.
