As part of the Whitney Biennial's focus on the spatially oriented music of composer Pauline Oliveros, the experimental heroes in this ensemble will play various of her "text scores" at random intervals during the day, starting at noon. As a roving installation, the performances are free to hear (with your ticket to the art show). So keep an ear open—or just follow the musicians wherever they go. Oliveros herself is scheduled to make an appearance, with her tricked-out accordian.
