Ever a provocative conceptualist, composer Kevin James built the pieces on for this project around recordings of four aboriginal languages from far-flung points on the globe, in each case spoken by one of the last living individuals for whom it was a native tongue. Each concert features two of the four new works; performers include radical string quartet Ethel, Speak Percussion and James's [kāj] Ensemble.
