Mostly Mozart Festival. Having caused a sensation at the 2010 edition of this fest with his haunting, visceral conception of Mozart's Don Giovanni, in which human performers doubled as sets and scenery, conductor Iván Fischer returns with his equally unorthodox, semi-staged vision of Le nozze di Figaro, with costumes donned and altered in plain sight. His superb cast includes Hanno Müller-Brachmann as Figaro, Roman Trekel as Almaviva and Miah Persson as the Countess, all performing around and among members of Fischer's astonishing Budapest Festival Orchestra. Tickets are scarce; try to score one anyway.
