Antenes

Brooklyn resident and modular technician-musician Antenes plays the culminating show in her Issue Project Room residency. Featured in the documentary I Dream of Wires, Antenes uses self-built sequencers and synths in all of her tracks, creating one-of-a-kind unique sounds augmented in her sets of “acid-laced techno, shimmering electro and beyond.” For this event, Antenes will present a time-based “audio museum,” which explores her research at the NOKIA Bell Labs Archives—research that has accompanied her musical practice of manipulating, expanding and investigating the functionality of antiquated and obsolete objects.
