Homeland actor Rupert Friend, with his penetrating gray eyes and menacingly hollowed-out cheeks, has a way of looking like he’s plotting a puppy massacre. Which comes in handy, since this ridiculous, violent, occasionally fun end-of-summer action ...

It's all in the mind in Pixar's latest, a delightful, frenetic, near-experimental animated film from the makers of Up and Toy Story. Pixar fans will be in seventh heaven with the film's bold thinking—and kids will be straining to listen to imagina...

The flagrantly unbowed N.W.A., pioneers of “reality rap” (we now call it gangsta), very much deserves its own movie—that’s not a premise to argue with. But is F. Gary Gray’s often sentimental, occasionally dull Straight Outta Compton the best vers...

Just when it seemed like the Marvel Cinematic Universe was getting so big that the whole superhero-movie bubble might burst, along comes an adventure that’s told on a much smaller scale. Put it this way: The first action sequence in Ant-Man takes ...

This enormously fun late-summer surprise, which borrows both its title and its pulsating beat from a 2006 dance hit by the electronic duo Justice, is every bit as ridiculous as you might expect (and hope for) from a romantic drama starring Zac Efr...

YES, YES and YES! I LOVE this movie theatre! All the seats are pretty much lazy boys that recline fully. They're so comfortable, I've not made it through one film without falling asleep... My only criticism is that the films shown there aren't the best selection of new releases.

AMC Loews 84th Street is hands down the best chain movie theater in Manhattan. All seating is reservation only which mean NO LINES! All of the seats also recline and are cushy (cushy enough to almost fall asleep during a movie). One thing to note, I have pretty severe motion sickness and am always wary of watching action movies (especially 3D) in theaters. However, I’ve had only pleasant experiences here (Gravity and Jurassic World in 3D), and I think it’s because the the seats are a good distance from the screen. I am willing to come all the way to the Upper West Side to watch movies here.
