Korine’s relentlessly experimental debut feature, set in the depressed suburb of Xenia, OH, has it moments. But the accusations that the film plays like a privileged kid’s condescending notion of squalor and moral turpitude—as well as relying heavily on cheap shock tactics—are hard to dispute.
