Ring in the Year of the Snake with an excursion into Chinatown’s hidden cultural gems. Since 1998, tour guide Joe Mauriello has taken visitors through Buddhist temples, tearooms, herbal apothecaries and even secret underground passages built in the 19th century. Finish off the cultural jaunt with an optional unlimited dim sum banquet ($35) of steamed pork buns, spare ribs and roast duck at gargantuan, dragon-covered Jing Fong. Guests who attend Sunday’s tour can join in the annual Lunar New Year festivities, packed with elaborate floats, dragon dances and Asian musicians.
