Since it opened in 1991, the Asian American Writers' Workshop has helped support and bring attention to the work of Asian-American authors. The nonprofit literary organization is housed in a 6,000-square-foot loft, where it sponsors creative-writing workshops for youths and adults. And throughout the year, it organizes readings, book parties and panel discussions featuring both established and emerging authors.
