Alarms and Controls

Post-hardcore vets Chris Hamley and Vin Novara—probably best known for their respective roles in Circus Lupus and the Crownhate Ruin—team up in Alarms and Controls. As heard on a recent Dischord debut, Clovis Points, the band plies lithe, eccentric indie rock that's sure to appeal to enthusiasts of that early-to-mid-’90s D.C. sound. Chumped, Pup, Slothrust, Slow Warm Death share the Dec 12 bill, and Life Size Maps and Poor Lily round out the Dec 13 Cake Shop lineup.
