Formerly a bank, a goth hot spot and the studio of Jasper Johns, this hulking space now offers a massive dance floor encircled by a perfect-view balcony and a relatively mellow VIP area. The venue opened as a hipster haven but, for better or worse, it has lost a bit of that edge lately, which might be considered a good thing if you’re looking for a no-frills night of hip-hop or reggae. Be sure to check out the downstairs lounge, Vault (accessible via a separate entrance), which features underground sounds of all sorts.
