A staple of the late-’80s/early-’90s alt-rock scene, Faith No More is best remembered for launching the career of ever-quirky vocalist Mike Patton, later of Fantômas, Tomahawk and countless other projects. (Also for that video with the gasping goldfish and the exploding piano.) While FNM’s funky, offbeat approach to heavy rock now seems a tad dated, the band still commands a legion of devotees. They’ll be out in force for these gigs in support of Sol Invictus, FNM’s promising new comeback disc, out May 19.
