Future Islands + Talk Normal + Dope Body

Wistful Baltimore synth-pop crew Future Islands stands out from similar outfits, thanks in large part to super-magnetic frontman Samuel T. Herring, who bounds athletically about the stage while belting in a weird half-rasp, half-croon. Also on the bill are local avant-rock all-stars Talk Normal, playing in support of their current LP, Sunshine, which finds the shadowy duo taking its No Wavey sound in a brighter, more songful direction.
