Few things whet our jazz appetite quite like a juicy intergenerational collaboration, and that's just what's in store for tonight. Pianist-vibist Karl Berger (who first made his mark via stunning mid-’60s sessions with Don Cherry before going on to cofound Woodstock's famed Creative Music Studio) and drummer Billy Mintz (another brilliant, if underappreciated veteran) team up with young bass marvel Max Johnson. A rewarding and deeply responsive set of inside-outside jazz is practically guaranteed.
