Take well-behaved elementary schoolers to lunch at Café Sabarsky, the elegant Viennese café inside the Neue Galerie. (Kids under 12 aren’t allowed in the museum, but they’re welcome in the eatery.) Goulash soup and smoked salmon with cream cheese and scallions are solid choices, but it’s the dessert, like a slice of Sacher torte, that makes this Austrian spot a destination.

Cafe Sabarsky is gorgeous! It's the perfect spot to regroup and take in all the amazing pieces of artwork the museum showcases. After enjoying Klimt in the Neue Galerie, be sure to stop in to the cafe for a tasty decadent dessert.
