Can’t decide between shawarma (shaved roasted lamb) and falafel? Try the hybrid “shawafel” at this sleek kosher spot. Big on catchy names—the restaurant held a much-publicized contest for its monkier—Chickpea’s owners are also keen on producing clean, fresh food. The pita is a bit chewey, but the bright-green falafel—packed with cilantro and parsley—is wonderful.
