If out-of-town guests insist on visiting Little Italy, steer them toward charming Da Nico. The solid red-sauce fare includes spaghetti with a chunky bolognese and entrées like hearty veal chops and salmon, simply grilled and spritzed with lemon. Keep an eye on the brick oven in the restaurant’s foyer—crisp pizzas emerge from it, topped with sweet sauce and plenty of melted mozzarella. If that doesn’t quell your rumbling belly, the gratis plate of piping-hot zeppole just might.

Friendly staff and an authentic menu. A good experience for my first time in Little Italy. Slighty ruined by some very VERY rowdy fellow diners, but thats no fault of Da Nico. Very good

DO NOT EAT HERE! I took my out of town family here. My eight year old niece has a severe nut allergy. Before we sat down, we advised waiter and all staff of same. Repeatedly before every course, reminded waiter and person delivering food "nut allergy". Upon desert, we again told waiter, he said, "YES! I know, no nuts!" We ordered Tartuffo because he said "NO NUTS". It was FULL of almonds.  We asked for manager, he wouldn't come out--they were obnoxious. Waiter was too busy hitting on other customer and basically was not listening b/c when my frantic sister asked him again, after I tasted the desert - he said, "Oh yes, nuts in tartuffo" after it was served to my eight year old niece! No apology, no manager produced and had the audacity to provide us with the check, including the nut-filled tartuffo.  Horrible, service, horrible people. My eight year old niece could have DIED and nothing. Kept waiting for the shock and apology and it never came.
