Description
Chef-restaurateur Peter Hoffman (Savoy) is behind this East Village seasonal-eats tavern, where farmhouse chic prevails in the decor (vintage tools adorn the walls) and on the menu. The offerings are spotty, but the veggies consistently shine: Baby cauliflower gratin with leeks and Gruyère was explosively flavorful, and weve rarely tasted better brussels sproutsthese were marinated in shallot butter and dotted with dried cherries. Though some entrées are middling (a blue-crab roll was stringy), the creamy stout float is one of many reasons well be coming back.
