Description
Alain Ducasse’s classic brasserie attempts to reclaim 55th Street’s former Francophile row. Chef Sebastien Rondier minds the kitchen, turning out successful, seasonality-snubbing relics like a cassoulet packed with hearty meat (pork loin, garlic sausage, duck confit) under a canopy of white beans. Amid all this old-world extravagance, it’s surprising that our favorite item was also the cheapest: a $1 egg with airy mayonnaise, sea salt, and a single leaf of dressed romaine and toast.

  We had a delicious onion soup, lamb and steak au poivre....SUPERB ;complimentary cheese puffs a delight! we would definitely return another time. Dessert menu looked inviting but we were running late; would have loved to order the chocolate souffle! This newly remodeled space is very lovely as well!
