    Description
Laurent Tourondel (BLT Fish, BLT Prime), has expanded his empire yet again: The artisanal, local foods at this Ritz-Carlton venture are served in pricey digs (see the leather and velvet banquettes) toned down by rural bric-a-brac. Basics—such as a gratis hot demibaguette with parsley-garlic butter, served in a paper bag—wowed us. Both Euro options (silky gnocchi in fennel cream sauce with fiery lamb sausage) and American ones (New York strip steak with a knockout pepper rub) prove the BLT reign is still going strong. Ritz-Carlton New York, 1430 Sixth Ave at Central Park South (212-521-6125).

This is a classic New York tourist trap. Food is good but the service is lousy and rude. They charge 20% gratuity during special days like Valentine. This is unheard of in NEW York expecially for small parties.
