SideBar is a decent bar in Union Square with lots of different drink specials throughout the week and happy hour from 4-7 PM. Food is pretty delicious, though don't expect anything too fancy or healthy at this place. It can get really crowded and rowdy at nights, though I've heard some nights can also be on the quieter side. Definitely seems like a fun spot to go with a group of friends to watch sporting events - they also have food and drink specials for big games!

Outrageously overpriced for what it is - a sports bar/restaurant in the back of a bar. It was the only place with no wait on cinco de mayo so my large group of friends and I went. Not a lot of vegetarian options and the drinks are way too much for what they are (didn't stop me from ordering two however). I will not come back here again. Plus the waitress seemed to forget about us for long periods of times despite the restaurant not being crowded at all.

You’ve likely been here for a football game—either college on Saturdays or pro on Sundays. You’ve probably also experienced an odd ‘feels like college drunk’ night here. Possibly post SantaCon. Maybe you’ve been lucky enough to be the name on the chalkboard that gets free drinks all night.

What you may not know is that both the food and the service are exceedingly better than any other sports bar in town. The bartenders and the management are friendly, accommodating people who make an effort to remember their seasonal regulars. The chicken fingers are revitalizing to say the least. Though it was a blow when they took the fried mac ‘n’ cheese balls off the menu, the breakfast options both on and off menu are immaculate.

Pro tip: reserve a table for gamedays. Even if you want to wander about and socialize, it makes the perfect home base for your friends. Plus they'll bring the free pre-game beer right to your tables.
