Probably the most under rated Restaurant in Queens definitely in the neighborhood. Odd name leads you to think its a dinner but anything but..I think it ads to the charm. Eclectic, white cloth but casual at the same time and while in a difficult spot for parking they have valet. Now for the real deal...DELICIOUS AND FOR SOME DISHES - A M A Z I N G!!! I'm actually tired of trying new restaurants and will usually stick to about a dozen eateries or so. In the city, Sparks teak house, Smith & Wollenski, Toledo - North of the Bronx we will go to Xaviers X20, Don Coqui Jake's steak house but Queens is our home town and we will go to Trattoria L’incontro, Cristos Steak and UNCLE PETERS. Yes when it comes to food, Uncle Peters is in that same circle. Try the specials of the day - they never disappoint and if you are lucky they will have the Osso Bucco!. Spectacular Steak AU Poivre, Black Linguini with sea food, and an absolute memorable Pork Chops! The traditional Italian dishes are also well represented and the appetizers will win you over. The intimate bar keeps it right and the service is Just right. Please make reservations during the weekends and make sure you are ready to wait on special holidays because this Gem's reputation has been growing faster than our national debt!

The outer boroughs are dotted with traditional, white-tableclothed Italian restaurants commanding citywide followings. Uncle Peter’s belongs on that short list. His real name is Ernesto, and he’s Italian by way of Argentina. So you can expect trattoria classics like tender seafood salad alla venezia and velvety scaloppine finished in marsala, but there’s also Latin jazz overhead and chimichurri garnishing your hefty, gaucho-style steak—and, if you’re lucky, a taste of the table-hoppingowner’s prized Malbec grappa.
