Time Out says

While your smartphone might be attached to you like a limb, the outerwear experts at 32° Weatherproof suggest you leave it at the door of their homey Soho flagship. Perhaps you’ll be assuaged by the gratis cocktails served every Thursday night (6–9pm) at the 2,200-square-foot space, made to resemble a contemporary city apartment. This is the brand’s first stand-alone shop (previously, you’d only find the label at department stores like Macy’s), and if you’re unfamiliar with the name, you might remember a buzzed-about Times Square billboard in 2010 of Barack Obama modeling a Weatherproof coat. Engage in conversation with fellow sports buffs and check out the line of men’s and women’s high-tech apparel ($99–$200), which is best worn when skiing down slopes or braving a rainstorm. Ladies can suit up in heat-absorbing, long-sleeved shirts ($13) or slim-fitting puffer jackets ($118). Guys can ward off wintry weather in feather-down zip-up coats ($118) or multipocketed utility jackets ($128), which are also available in layerable vest styles ($48).
