  • Clever lyrics, dynamite music and performances, unusual theatrical conceit: issac babel and friends put on a play about the Jewish gangster king of Odessa as they wait for stalin's henchmen. You couldn't ask for a more interesting evening.

  • This is really excellent. The songs are catchy, especially the one about women's rule and several Benva's songs towards the end. Both his performance and that of Julianna Smith were top-notch, with a very sonorous but almost jazzy tuned vocals. The tickets are pay what you wish, which I deeply appreciated, and there is a great bar upstairs, making for an awesome night.
