Time Out says

Nicknamed “El Niño” when a local newspaper published his first photograph at the age of 12, Enrique Metinides captured snapshots of Mexico City’s criminals, family tragedies, accidents and emergency-response heroes for five decades in the pages of the nota roja, or “bloody news.” See shots with original newsprint tear sheets, which capture the development of Metinides as an artist and the city itself.
