Trace Harlem’s 350-year evolution from tiny Dutch village to epicenter of African-American business, culture, politics and beyond. The two-hour trek—led by one of Big Onion’s team of history buffs and scholars—kicks off at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and includes stops at some of the neighborhood’s most iconic churches, entertainment venues and private residences, including the Apollo Theater, Strivers’ Row and the former site of the Big Apple Night Club (which helped give NYC its nickname). Go to bigonion.com for more information. Meet at northwest corner of 135th St and Malcolm X Blvd (Lenox Ave). Subway: 2, 3 to 135th St
