In celebration of what would have been Lennon’s 75th birthday earlier this year, Symphony Space is gathering some incredible artists together to commemorate the songwriter’s enduring legacy. More than a dozen musicians will take the stage—including singer-songwriter Martin Sexton, soul singer Bettye LaVette and folk artist Lucy Kaplansky—to perform favorites from Lennon’s catalog, decades on. The John Lennon Real Love Award will also be presented to playwright Eve Ensler, who wrote The Vagina Monologues.
