Choreographer Mark Dendy presents the premiere of NEWYORKnewyork@AstorPlace, which pays tribute to the history of the Public Theater and explores the surrounding area. Dendy, who hosts the evening as William B. Astor Jr.—John Jacob Astor's heir—doesn't shy from political material; in this dance-theater work, he looks at gentrification, race relations and violence.
