Photograph: © The Art Institute “I’m actually really excited about the ‘Hopper Drawing’ exhibit at the Whitney Museum of American Art (945 Madison Ave at 75th St; 212-570-3600, whitney.org; through Oct 6). One of my friends cocurated it. It’s a lot of Edward Hopper’s original drawings.”
“My new favorite restaurant is Oficina Latina NYC (24 Prince St between Elizabeth and Mott Sts; 646-381-2555, oficinalatinanyc.com). It’s really chic, trendy-rustic, and they have amazing cocktails. My favorite one is the avocado-cilantro margarita ($14)—it’s ridiculous.”
“On Sundays I love to go to the Greenflea (Columbus Ave between 76th and 77th Sts; 212-239-3025, greenfleamarkets.com). I collect vintage cameras, and they sell a lot of used cameras, antiques and clothes.”
“I go to the Amsterdam Ale House (340 Amsterdam Ave at 76th St; 212-362-7260, amsterdamalehouse.com) probably every weekend. It’s a very quaint place with a traditional pub feel. They have a humongous beer selection and some really rare ones, so if you’re a beer lover it’s a good spot.”
