Time Out says

The youngest member of the Abstract Expressionists (he can be seen pictured in The Irascibles, Nina Leen's famed 1950 photo for Life magazine) and one of the few artists to have received solo exhibitions at all four of the city's major museums, Pousette-Dart (1916–1992) was a leading figure of the New York School and lived long enough to respond to the emergence of Minimalism with his own turn toward geometric abstraction. Bringing together paintings from that period of his career, this show examines his work's singular interplay of light, color and texture in a series of canvases dating from the ’60s to the ’80s.
