This Handel opera receives an Eastern rethink—complete with "debaucherous monks, sumo wrestlers and one aroused donkey," per press materials—courtesy of a staging by Chinese visual artist Zhang Huan. The Canadian Opera Company handles the music and is conducted by Christopher Moulds.
