When it comes to eclectic and somewhat sophisticated fare from around the globe, Joe’s Pub is one of the most satisfying places in town. Recent performers have included Victoria Williams, the sub-Saharan nomads of Tinariwen, Nellie McKay and Stew. All shows that start before 11pm are all ages; after 11pm you must be 21 or over, which is important to note because Joe’s is also known for its variety late-night parties. Note also that shows start on time here— a real NYC rarity.
