For decades Vezio Bagazzini was a legendary figure in the Ghetto area, on account of his bar behind the former Communist Party HQ. Every square centimetre was filled with Communist icons and trophies - not just Italian, but Soviet and Cuban too. Every Italian leftist leader worth his or her salt visited at some point for a photo with Vezio. Vezio has now moved into new premises in picturesque, arty via Tor di Nona with all his Marxist-Leninist souvenirs and photos. A time warp with great coffee, but probably best not to ask for a Coke…
